Kingsbury hails from Greenfield, Massachusetts, where a substantial part of Wish You Were Here was shot. He was born in a barn, which is why he always leaves the door open, letting the flies in. Kingsbury is an aggressive self-starter, who owned his own business before age 21. He enjoys swimming, country music, and long trips to the beach. His pet peeves include muddy puppies, world hunger, and people that do "quotes" with their fingers.
He would like to dedicate Wish You Were Here to his Mother and Father (Wanda and William Kingsbury Sr.), who honored him by being in the film.

BOB CANNING ("Bob") was born and raised in Oneida, New York and graduated from Emerson College in 1997. Following graduation, Canning moved from Boston to Los Angeles. There, Canning co-created the story for Wish You Were Here and co-founded the L.A.-based comedy troupe "TROOP!" Soon, however, he felt the pangs of homesickness and returned to his native New England. Canning currently resides in Allston, Massachusetts, where he is an active writer and comic strip artist. When not making movies, you can spot Smith's work in programs and specials for The History, Learning, Discovery, and Sci-Fi Channels, and scattered across the internet. "Everyone was really nice to me, even though I've never had an encounter with Denis Leary or that kid from Boston Common," she explains. Shortly after Wish You Were Here was completed, she married the film's musical composer, Jeff Cline. A twelfth-generation Minnesotan, Andria currently calls Memphis, Tennessee home. She occasionally writes things that other people find amusing.
