STEVE
Just finished up his third season as low man on the staff of "Manny!" TV's top-five rated sitcom. When the show goes on hiatus, so does Steve's job, and now he's got nothing to do. He's got a wedding ring in his pocket for the girl that just dumped him. It's been a long day. Steve's the guy with the car.
BILL
Puts up buildings for Kingsbury Contracting down by the airport. Women are drawn to him in a way that other men just can't understand. A hard worker, he never has trouble paying the rent. Bill's the guy with the beard.
BOB
Floats from job to job - Usually about three or four a year. A man of many trades, Bob has no trouble finding work. When he moves to a new place, Bob doesn't bother unpacking. He'll just have to re-pack again someday. Bob's the guy with the basketball.
THE SCOOP
Steve, Bill and Bob all have plane tickets to their best friend's wedding. But when Steve's girlfriend of four years decides he's not the one for her, they trash the tickets and hit the road from Los Angeles to Boston, racing at top speed from the city they hate on a 5,000-mile highway to freedom.
